Some projects connect with you before the first session begins. For Gary Carriero, the artist, founder and president of GetLife Records, the mission behind Chris Redding’s Unspoken Psalms was one of them. Learning what the team hoped to create made him want to contribute. Seeing the project receive attention now is a moment to celebrate the people who brought it to life.
A story worth spending time with
In a September 30 feature, Rolling Stone MENA explores how Redding’s relationship with his nonverbal autistic son, Christian, helped shape his musical direction. The piece introduces Unspoken Psalms, an instrumental project conceived around connection, reflection and the listening experience. It also discusses Redding’s interest in music and wellness, and reports that the album appeared on Amazon’s New Age music Best Sellers charts.
Read the original Rolling Stone MENA feature for the full story. The publication labels it partner content, part of a paid partnership with Chris Redding. This GetLife reflection is separate from that feature.
The people behind the work
Gary Carriero contributed as arranger on two tracks from Unspoken Psalms: “Breath Of Fresh Air” and “Epic Winds.” Spotify’s credits also list David Veslocki as co-executive producer on both tracks. Chris Redding is credited as main artist, composer and synthesizer performer on each.
The “Breath Of Fresh Air” credit panel names Chris Redding, Christian Redding and Al Walser as producers; Staje as co-executive producer; Serena Redding as executive producer; Josh Davis and Lil Mile as production coordinators; Dennys Lima in mixing; and DNNYS in mastering. These are track-specific credits, not a claim about every role across the album.

What the collaboration means to Gary
Gary describes a longstanding personal interest in the relationship between sound, reflection and how people experience their surroundings. Those interests also inform his own developing CUBED work. When he was introduced to this team and its mission, the connection felt immediate: he wanted to be part of making something meaningful.
His response to the feature is gratitude—for Chris’s vision, for Dave’s partnership and for every collaborator whose work helped shape the project. The attention is a reason to point listeners back to the music and the people behind it.
For Gary, this is also a reminder of the kind of work he wants to keep doing: bringing artists and collaborators together around a purpose they care about. An individual credit matters, but it sits within a much bigger shared effort.
Congratulations to Chris and the entire team
Gary extends his congratulations to Chris Redding, Christian, Serena, Dave and everyone who contributed. He credits the care, creativity and commitment behind the music, and expresses gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to this chapter.
